I admit it, this magnet is on my fridge and I have been known to eat dessert first!
Every Saturday I’m posting your favorite desserts and today I’m featuring my sister-in-law’s Death by Chocolate. She’s modified her mom’s recipe and you just might find your own twist to add as well.
Remember to email me your favorite dessert to Monique@moniquealvarezenterprises.com
Death by Chocolate – a spinoff of my mom’s recipe. (Cassandra Martin Alvarez of Tucson, Arizona)
(1) package of instant chocolate pudding- Made and chilled for an hour
(1) lrg container of Cool Whip- Not the reduced fat kind =)
(1) 9×13 pan of extremely chocolaty brownies – Baked, Cooled and Crumbled
¼ cup of shaved chocolate (Or mini chocolate chips)
(6) Pilsners or Goblet Glasses
Mix the pudding with half of the Cool Whip (so that it makes the consistency of a chocolate fluff)
Start to layer! Put a small layer of crumbled brownie, then add a layer of the chocolate fluff and then a layer of regular cool whip. Continue this layering until you get to the top of the glass. Once at the top of the glass add a decorative amount of chocolate shavings or mini chips. Chill for an hour and then serve!
**If you would like to add a little bit of coffee flavor (my mom’s way) once you have baked the brownies and they have cooled poke holes in them and add about a shot glass of Kahlua. Let the Kahula sit and soak into the brownies and then crumble and layer just like above. **
Remember to send your favorite recipes to Monique@moniquealvarezenterprises.com I’ll feature one savory recipe on Fridays and one dessert on Saturdays.
Bon Appetit and be sure to let me know how you liked it in the comments below.
p.s. If there are typos, spelling or grammar mistakes in this post don’t worry about. Those are the kinds of things I’ve worried about for FAR too long. It’s time to just get it out and who cares if it’s not perfect, it’s from the heart!
