It was 5 a.m., which in the U.S. is sleeping in for me, but here in Albania it was early. I could feel a rush of energy and a sense of urgency.
I didn’t want to wake Derek and Danny so I grabbed a blanket and headed to the living room. I reached for my notebook and pencil. (I have to write on paper and then transfer it to the computer. Something about a blank screen freezes me up.)
I knew it was time to write it.
My Manifesto That Is…
The idea to write a manifesto came from Jeff Goins three months ago.
The words have been percolating and the courage has been building.
The inspiration arrived this morning.
Line upon line flowed like warm honey.
A manifesto is a public declaration of principles and intentions. It’s an exercise that invites us to look at who we are at our core. I must say it was an incredible experience. To be completely clear about the foundation on which everything else is build in our lives is very empowering. I’ll be working on editing, formatting and uploading it to Amazon over the next few days.
My plan is to give it away here and I hope it inspires you to write yours.
You may not want to give it away or sell it, but that doesn’t matter. It’s important for YOU to write YOUR manifesto. Clear the cobwebs, forge a path through the forest, stand at the top of your mountain and proudly declare who you are.
You don’t have to write it today or tomorrow.
Just be open to the idea of writing it.
Let your heart guide you.
I’ll keep you posted on when mine is ready to release and please let me know how the process is going for you. If you are willing to share it, I would love for you to email me your manifesto. (Monique@moniquealvarezenterprises.com)
Until next time…
