I know I’ve been featuring lots of pumpkin dishes but it’s fall and that’s what you all have been sending in! :)
And what could take pumpkin to the next level? CHOCOLATE! These Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies are one of Derek’s favorites and his mama has shared the recipe with me and now I share it with you.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies (Debbie Alvarez of Tucson, Arizona)
2 Cups Flour
1 Cup Uncooked Oats
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1/2 Teaspoons Salt
1 Cup Softened Butter
1 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
1 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1 Small Can of Pumpkin
1 Bag of Milk Chocolate Chips
Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees
Combine 1st 5 ingredients, set aside.
Cream butter, gradually add sugars, beat well.
Add egg and vanilla.
Alternately add dry ingredients and pumpkin.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Cookies will have a cake like texture.
